One important note: all mail must go to P.O. Box 1090, Covington, LA 70434. The Slidell Annex cannot receive mail or packages. If you need to send documents by mail, always use the Covington post office box.

St. Tammany Public Records and Access Rights
Louisiana's public records statute, La. R.S. § 44:32, lets any adult request public records without stating a reason. The clerk must allow inspection during business hours. Copies cost $0.50 to $1.00 per page under the standard fee schedule. Certified copies carry an additional charge.
Some records are not public. Juvenile case files are protected under Louisiana Children's Code Article 412. Adoption records are sealed. Grand jury materials and sealed court orders are off-limits.
